Food handling training
Under the Food Safety Standards, a food business must ensure that people handling food or supervising food operations have the appropriate skills and knowledge in food safety and hygiene matters.
Council periodically holds training courses to help local businesses learn about the following food safety areas:
- causes of food poisoning
- types of contamination
- temperature control
- personal hygiene
- pest control.
