International Liveable Communities

Kogarah wins Gold!

The International Awards for Liveable Communities (LivCom) is the world’s only competition for local communities that focuses on environmental management and the creation of liveable communities.

The objective of the LivCom Awards is to encourage best practice, innovation and leadership in providing a vibrant, environmentally sustainable community that improves the quality of life.

At the 2012 LivCom Awards, Kogarah City won a Gold Award and was placed a close second behind Chrudim in the Czech Republic in a field of 14 finalists in the Whole of City category (population 25,001 – 75,000).
