Oatley Boat Ramp Upgrade

Oatley Boat Ramp Upgrade

In December 2015 the NSW State Government announced a $305,000 grant towards the upgrade of the Oatley Boat Ramp facility at Moore Reserve under the NSW Boating Now Program. The total cost of the project is expected to be $435,000 with Kogarah City Council to contribute $130,000.

"This is great news for local residents and people across St George who enjoy boating activities. Once completed, the upgrade of Oatley Boat Ramp will offer the community first class boating facilities which will enhance their enjoyment of our region's beautiful waterways', said Kogarah Mayor Cr Stephen Agius.

The works that will be undertaken include the removal and reconstruction of the existing three lane boat ramp, new side kerbing and line marking, installation of a new pontoon and gangway facility providing disabled boating access, and the development of a Site Management Plan to assess future facility upgrades (including new toilets, wash down areas and car/trailer parking).

Works are complete and the boat ramp is now open.
