Paul Woods

Paul has almost 30 years experience in local government at several councils in the Sydney metropolitan area. He was appointed as Kogarah City Council General Manager in 2006.

 

In the preceding ten years, he served the Kogarah community as Council's Director of Assets & Services and Director of Kogarah Council Works.

 

As General Manager, Paul leads the organisation and ensures Council's policy and strategies are implemented for maximum benefit. He is also the interface between the elected members of Council and around 300 Council employees.

 

In addition to his organisational leadership role, Paul also maintains hands-on responsibililty for Community Services, Human Resources and Media & Communications departments.

Evan Hutchings

Evan Hutchings - Director Governance & Corporate Services 

Evan has almost 30 years experience in local government and has served as a Director at Kogarah Council for the past four years.

He is responsible for the provision of Financial Management, Corporate Records, and Archives, Property Management, Information Technology and Telecommunications, Risk and Insurance Management and Customer Service Centre as well as administrative support to Council and Councillors. He is also Council's Public Officer and oversees Council's Corporate Governance framework and processes.

 

Rod Logan

Rod Logan - Director Planning & Environmental Services

Rod has 27 years experience in local government, joining Kogarah in 2003, and has served as a Director at Kogarah Council for the past  three years.
 
He is responsible for the management of Development and Construction Applications, Urban Planning and Design, Building Compliance and Enforcement, Sustainability and Waste Services, Environmental Health, Parking Regulation, Environmental Rangers and Animal Control.
 
Included in Rod's responsibilities are sustainability research and policy, environmental planning, environmental assessment and application determination, environmental health programs and monitoring and investigation for environmental compliance.

 

Andrew Sharpe

Andrew Sharp - Director Assets & Services

Andrew has 25 years experience in local government, joining Kogarah in 2008, having previously worked for Hurstville City Council, Sutherland Shire Council, and Sydney City Council.

He is responsible for the management and maintenance of Council's Infrastructure and Assets, including roads, footpaths, buildings, parks and reserves, stormwater structures, traffic facilities, street trees and foreshores.

Andrew's responsibilities also include the planning, design and construction of new infrastructure, strategic planning for open space, traffic management, catchment and stormwater management plans, GIS, contract management, and responsibility for 125 staff.
