Kogarah library offers all school students up to year 10 free Homework help!

There are 3 areas that presently make up the HOMEWORK ZONE:

If you need help with your homework research, or, would like to learn more about our free homework services, come and meet the Homework Zone team available every Monday to Friday 3.00pm to 6.00pm

HOMEWORK HELPERS

Our Homework Helpers are Yr 11 & 12 students from St George Girl's High School who every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon to assist any student with their homework or reading.

The students do this as part of their community service and are a great help to students in the Homework Zone. Whether it's helping with specific homework questions, or reading with a child, they provide an approachable and welcoming help for the students.

LIBRARY RESOURCES AND ONLINE SERVICES

Available at the Library and from home, Yourtutor is a one-on-one online tutoring service in maths, english, science, research and assignment writing. The tutoring is with real people in real time and so is a great service for students who may not otherwise have access to tutoring.

Yourtutor covers Years 4-12 and is available between 4.00 - 8.00 pm. Click on the link below to find out how to use this service.

Online encyclopaedias and databases are available at the Libraries or remotely. These include World Book Encyclopaedia, as well as other resources across a variety of subject areas

The Library has a great collection of books and other materials that can help with Homework questions. Ask one of the Homework Zone Team for some help

SOUTH HURSTVILLE AND OATLEY BRANCH LIBRARIES staff can also explain how to use yourtutor and the databases from home. Please ask at your local library.
