Meetings, Minutes and Reports
Introduction
Council holds a number of meetings and working parties to conduct its business. Listed below are the schedules of the Regular Council Meetings, Traffic Committee Meetings and various Working Party meetings.
Meetings - Open to the Public
Regular Council Meetings include Development Assessment items and are held at 7.00 pm every fourth Monday of the month (if it is a Public Holiday on the Monday the meeting is held on the Tuesday).
Committee and Working Party meetings - Not Open to the Public
- 'Assets and Services - Asset Management Working Party' held on the first Monday of the month at 6.00pm (bi-monthly).
- 'Assets and Services Natural Resources Working Party' held on the first Monday of the month at 6.00pm (bi-monthly).
- 'Development and Health Working Party' held on the first Monday of the month at 7.30pm.
- 'Traffic Committee Meeting' held on the first Tuesday of the month at 9.00am.
- 'Community Services and Community Relations - Community Development and Access Working Party' held on the third Monday of the month at 6.00pm (bi-monthly).
- 'Community Services and Community Relations - Council Services Working Party' held on the third Monday of the month at 6.00pm (bi-monthly).
- 'Governance and Support Services Working Party' is held on the third Monday of the month at 7.30pm.
Members of the public are welcome to attend Regular Council Meetings. The minutes of the Traffic Committee Meeting and the various Working Party meetings for that particular month are included in the business paper for the Regular Council Meeting held in that month. The Chairperson at Council Meetings is the Mayor, or the Deputy Mayor if the Mayor is absent. The General Manager and Directors attend these meetings and, if needed, provide additional information on matters being considered.
Public Forum
The public forum provides an ideal opportunity for citizens to raise issues with Councillors at a Council Meeting. As a speaker you have three minutes to address Council. To register simply present to the administration staff table at the entrance to the Chamber 30 minutes before the scheduled meeting time. Click here for additional information on Public Forum.
